Refunds and cancellations
Holiday Stroke Development Clinics are non-refundable except in the case of a medical withdrawal (see below).
If your child is unable to attend due to a medical condition, a refund may be issued upon receipt of a valid Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner. The certificate must be provided within 7 days of the first missed session.
Change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or other personal circumstances are not grounds for a refund. We encourage you to carefully review the clinic dates and your availability before enrolling.
Refund requests should be directed to our Swim School team:
Phone: 8200 2531
Email: swim.thebarton@ymcasa.org.au
Attendance and missed sessions
Attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged. Each day builds on the previous session, so consistent attendance gives participants the best opportunity to develop their stroke.
Please ensure participants arrive ready to enter the water at the start time.
Make-up lessons are not available for Holiday Stroke Development Clinics. Missed sessions cannot be transferred, credited, or rescheduled under any circumstances, except where a medical refund applies (see Refunds and cancellations above).
Parent and guardian responsibilities
By enrolling a participant in the Holiday Stroke Development Clinic, the parent or guardian agrees to abide by all Thebarton Aquatic Centre conditions of entry, centre rules, and any reasonable directions given by centre staff. These are available at the centre and on our website.
A parent or guardian must remain on site at Thebarton Aquatic Centre for the full duration of each clinic session. Parents and guardians may not drop off and leave the facility while the clinic is in progress.
All parents and guardians present at the centre must comply with Watch Around Water requirements. This means maintaining constant visual supervision of any children in or around the water who are under your care before or after clinics.
Cancellations by Thebarton Aquatic Centre
Thebarton Aquatic Centre reserves the right to cancel or reschedule clinic sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, including staff availability, facility issues, or insufficient enrolments. Participants will be notified as soon as practicable and offered a credit or refund where applicable.
